Ruché sofa designed by Inga Sempé for Ligne Roset brings together the traditional and the unusual, with this solid wood structure and the quilting, the very heart of its expertise.
Its name is derived from a sewing technique, in which fabric is gathered or pleated, creating a ruching effect.
Structure and feet in solid beech, reinforced by two steel frames on the seat and back.
Choice of 3 finishes for feet: natural matt varnished beech, or beech stained anthracite or red.
Pullmaflex suspension on seat. Suspension of back via sprung steel grille. Elastic-webbed suspension on arms.
This is completed by a thick duvet with a strikingly unusual quilting, a kind of boutis or cushioning made from a grid pattern of interrupted stitching, achieved by a programmed sewing machinery.
Cover quilted with polyester quilting and ultra-flexible polyurethane foam.
Seat cushion in high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam. Back cushion in polyurethane foam. Armrests in Bultex foam.
Fully removable covers.
Its rangy uprights and the undulations of its duvet come together in a harmonious combination of severe straight edges and soft curves.
Slender and fine, Ruché is nonetheless soft and welcoming.
It's available in 2 and 3-seat versions, and low-backed settees (supplied with a matching pair of lumbars gilled with goose feathers, with one smooth face e one face quilted in the Ruché style).
Ruchè collection includes also armchairs, the footstool and the classic one-arm settee.
