Guframini God miniature is designed by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello for Gufram in soft polyurethane finished by hand with Guflac.
As if in a fairy tale, the Gufram icons have become smaller and have now turned into Guframini®! The most radical Italian design company has just revealed some brand new creations for its fans: miniatures of the Bocca®, Cactus® and Pratone® designed in a 1:8 scale; the new miniatures perfectly reproduce the smallest details of the famous domestic sculptures exhibited in the world’s leading museums.
“The history of Guframini is actually the history of a beautiful obsession!” says Charley Vezza, Gufam’s CEO and Global Creative Orchestrator. “We worked on this project for four years: we wanted these objects to be identical to their elder brothers. I know that people might think that producing miniatures might be easier than producing the real thing, but it is not. For example, in the first prototypes of the small Cactus you could see a junction created by the mold, a line which the original one doeas not have; to get rid of that details we had to work on a new production technique and patent it! Now, our Guframini are not just simple reproduction but they are actual products with their own soul; they are small sexy furniture pieces full of personality.
Guframini® are in fact, made with molds that faithfully reproduce Bocca®, Cactus® and Pratone®: each "mini" creation is made of polyurethane foam which is injected into the mold which has previously been painted so to get, through a state-of-the-art method, a unique piece wich is identical to the original one: the same softness, same colors and same details. Each Guframini® is then finished by hand and, thanks to this artisan finishing procedure every piece is one-of-a-kind, just like every Bocca®, Cactus® and Pratone® are unique pieces.
The miniature Cactus®, one of the radical design symbols par excellence. Gufram offers its fans a version identical to the original designed by Drocco and Mello in 1972. The mini mold is perfectly identical to the full-scale design and shows 2165 dimpled areas that decorate the stem and the arms of this otherworldly coat rack. The color was obtained by carefully studying the original green color to reproduce it, giving design enthusiasts a chance to own, albeit in a reduced version, a limited-edition design piece that is now sold out.
