Stefan Scholten has become one of the defining voices in world-renowned Dutch Design after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1995. Based in Amsterdam, the studio designs for a variety of well-respected brands, such as HAY, Maharam, Moroso, Forbo, Cappellini, Desso, nanimarquina and 1616 / arita japan.

He is known for his reductionist design style combined with a completely unique use of color, and his approach is known as the atelier method of working. During the design process, thought passes through the hands as much as possible, until arriving at an original and new design.
