Philippe Tabet on Classicdesign.it
Born in Versailles and trained in Lyon and Paris in Industrial Design, Philippe Tabet has shaped his design identity through a journey that combines technical rigor, aesthetic sensitivity, and a deep understanding of production processes. His move to Milan in 2011 marked the beginning of his immersion into the world of furniture design, a field that would become central to the development of his creative language.
In 2014, he founded his own studio, where the authentic relationship between material and form takes center stage. For Tabet, every material possesses its own “truth”: understanding, respecting, and enhancing it means bringing to life objects that remain in continuity with their origin. His creations express a balance between crisp and delicate lines, the result of precise design that reflects his passion for graphics and formal clarity.
Research into manufacturing processes drives his work: Tabet draws inspiration from both industrial techniques and artisanal traditions, as seen in the “Order” masks project, produced using various molding techniques as a tribute to the masters of craftsmanship. His works, awarded and exhibited in multiple contexts, reflect a vision of design as a transversal practice, capable of encompassing furniture, electronics, and everyday objects alike.
