Franz Romero on Classicdesign.it
Franz Romero is a Swiss architect and designer, trained in the studios of great architects such as Haefeli Moser Steiger (HMS), founded by Max Ernst Haefeli, Werner Max Moser and Rudolf Steiger, that from 1937 to 1975 was one of the most important names in the architectural panorama of the twentieth century. Around the eighties he began to sign products developed in his studio, where he also worked on a number of commercial projects.
His works remain little known to the general public, except for what has become a design icon: the Bugatti armchair (DS-57) inspired by the historic cars of the thirties and produced by the brand de Sede.
