RR226 fo-st radiophonograph design by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni for Brionvega is the evolution of the original RR126. While the iconic design has remained unchanged, the technical specs have been upgraded.
100 numbered pieces to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Achille Castiglioni
The new radio phonograph RR226 includes the 33 rpm (12") and 45 rpm (7") record player as well as a radio. Like in the original model, the two speakers can be placed in different positions (on the record player, attached to the sides or even further apart) depending on the need of the moment.
The classic AM and FM radio aluminum knobs remain unchanged. The piece of furniture is made of medium density fiberboard, lacquered white and hand-polished. The pedestal is in fused aluminum, brushed, painted and hand-polished.
As always, the radio-phonograph support piece and the wood speakers are built by skilled artisans. These pieces are never identical but always perfect.
The radio-phonograph Brionvega RR226 is thus faithful to the original piece in design even while new technology enhances its performance.
