Parallel Structure table is designed by Michael Anastassiades for B&B Italia with structure crafted from veneered plywood and solid wood, with a supporting crossbar in extruded aluminum. Top available either in solid wood with a veneered particleboard panel that matches the base, or in transparent extra-light glass. The table comes in two sizes.
With its monolithic and rigorous presence, the Parallel Structure table embodies a pure architectural language: its design eliminates any decorative excess, favoring formal essentialism. The name itself encapsulates the concept: two imposing aluminum beams, perfectly parallel, are simply connected by lateral bridges that emphasize their linearity. The result is a striking visual lightness that contrasts with the structural solidity. Every detail is meticulously crafted—from the clean junctions to the seamless fusion of materials and geometries—reflecting a technically precise approach rooted in the pursuit of functional simplicity.
The base rests on solid wood legs, while the bridges—true structural lintels—conceal a metal core that ensures stability without adding visual weight.
Parallel Structure is conceived for spaces where architecture meets function. Here, the structural element becomes an aesthetic signature, and the table as a whole becomes a statement in which form and function merge—celebrating the most refined expression of minimalism.
