Metropolitan armchair is designed by Jeffrey Bernett for B&B Italia with frame in tubular and profiled steel, padded with cold-molded Bayfit® flexible polyurethane foam. Seat cushion shaped in polyurethane, and headrest and lumbar cushions made of polyester fiber. The high-back version includes a support structure in laminated and extruded aluminum. Upholstery available in leather or fabric. Four-spoke base in drawn steel with thermoplastic glides. The armchair is offered in two sizes, with a matching ottoman also available.
The Metropolitan armchair embodies timeless elegance through the seamless flow between seat and armrests—an iconic detail also present in the more compact lounge version. Its four-spoke swivel base strikes a refined balance of lightness, stability, and sophistication, making it an ideal accent piece for both spacious and intimate interiors.

A subtle yet innovative detail, the headrest is held in place with magnets, offering adaptable comfort without compromising clean aesthetics.
