Welcome to the Artifort Collection: a blend of history, timeless design, commitment, and passion dating back to 1890 when Jules Wagemans founded a modest upholstery shop in Maastricht. From that humble beginning, Artifort evolved into a full-fledged furniture factory, embracing a unique identity defined by the Latin words 'ars' and 'fortis'—functionality, quality, and comfort.

 

Thanks to the creative fervor of young designer Kho Liang Ie in the 1950s, Artifort experienced a stylistic revolution that shaped its brand indelibly. Iconic collaborations with Pierre Paulin and Geoffrey D. Harcourt in the '50s gave birth to chairs and sofas that became design legends, such as the Tulip chair, Orange Slice chair, Oyster chair, and Mushroom chair by Pierre Paulin. Geoffrey Harcourt contributed extraordinary works like the F978 chair, F584 chair, and the Rocking Chair.

 

Today, Artifort continues to embody the essence of design.
