Description
Description

RD Grid Berber carpet designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Tribal Collection of Amini is completely handknotted with blend of fine wools, height 20 mm. Quality: 50,000 knots/sqm. Finishing two levels pile. The carpets are hand washed, clipped and carved.

RD Grid Berber narrates an ancestral history, one of Berber carpets that perfectly mix ethnicity and contemporaneity. In prized Indian hand-knotted wool, it adapts perfectly to living areas thanks to the distinctive design of straight lines that cross each other creating a unique and perfect grid. These rugs can speak to us through symbols, abstract geometries and code signs. Their natural tones recall the earth, its history and its remains. Their decorations are basic, yet mysterious messages sent from ancient ancestors. Amini retraces and explores this intense, rich history with a wealth of possible developments by creating a line of rugs that combine design creativity and rigorous workmanship. These carpets are characterized by the careful study of color palettes and materials. Each material is matched with the best texture in order to enhance its characteristics and quality to the fullest. “I worked on the fundamental elements of the Berber carpet, its pile and its patterns, which I recomposed, exaggerating their geometry, modifying the depths of the stroke, intervening with color accents to give a different graphic depth than the others.” R. Dordoni
